Match board - tongue groove
Types of gate
Wooden Gates: There are three main types, pedestrian, driveway, and farm gate.
If you're interested in garden gates there are a number of styles I recommend.
Close board as this type is very well made and most common, it has a full frame on all four edges and braced making a very strong gate
Waney edge - lap panel type, another great gate that can match your fencing, again with a frame on all sides and braced, although well made not as strong as close board.
Tongue groove are well made with a clean finish and can be painted or stained, when treated with stain or paint they can look very classy strong and durable.
Picket gates are made with individual pieces of wood placed and fixed onto a frame vertically The pieces of wood are placed with a gap in between allowing air to travel through the gate.
Farm style are very well made they can be made as a garden gate or can be made as driveway gates, farm style gates are generally five bar and are very strong again they are made up in such a way that the wind can travel through easily.
All of these gates apart from waney edge can be used or made for driveways and all are very well made.
